World Creativity and Innovation Day
World Creativity and Innovation Day are celebrated on April 21 of every year. This day is created to honour the creative and Innovative skills of people around the world. This day encourages people to use their creativity and new ideas to make the world a better place to live. World Creativity and Innovation Day is the final day of observance during World Creativity and Innovation Week. This day is celebrated in more than 46 countries from the year 2002. People in businesses, schools etc take part in this day.

History of World Creativity and Innovation Day
Marci Segal, a creativity expert, saw a headline in the newspaper “Canada in Creativity Crisis” and after reading that she decided to do something about it and she came up with this idea of creating World Creativity and Innovation Day. With her colleagues in April 2002, she organised the 1st Creativity and Innovation Day to encourage and cheer people to use their creativity and new ideas to make the world a better place. After its success, many other countries joined from all over the world. Then in the year 2006, Creativity and Innovation Day became a World Creativity and Innovation Week starting from April 15 to 21. Leonardo da Vinci’s birth anniversary 15th April marks the beginning of the Creativity and Innovation week every year. He is a universal genius who is exceptionally good in both arts and sciences.
