Year 2018 Calendar India

Year 2018 Calendar India: The calendar is a system used to organise the days for the social, religious, commercial and administrative purposes. It is organised by providing names like weeks, days, months and years. The Calendar is also said as the “list of planned events“. The periods in the calendar are synchronised with the cycle of the moon and sun. The most usual type of pre-modern calendar was the lunisolar calendar (The Calendar which adds one intercalary month to remain synchronised with the solar year). The World Calendar is taken from the “Calendae” (the term which is used to refer the first day of the month in the Roman calendar). The Latin term of Calendar was adopted in old French as “Calendier.” From there, the word “Calendar” is used by the time of 13th century and then it is changed to “Calendar.” Gregorian Calendar was the first calendar reform of the early modern era, and it was introduced in 1582. It was introduced based on the observation of long-term shift between the solar year and the Julian Calendar. From then, there are several proposals for the reform of the calendar like World Calendar, Holocene Calendar, International Fixed Calendar and Hanke-Henry Permanent Calendar. But these calendars are failed to gain traction as they lack in continuity, implementation, and religious objections.
