World Whisky Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of each May. This year it will be celebrated on May 20. World Whisky Day invites everyone to try a dram and celebrate the water of life. Events are taking place all over the globe. All you need is a bottle of whiskey to share with your friends. World Whisky day celebrates all types of corn and encourages everyone to enjoy whiskey. World Whisky Day is about making whiskey fun and enjoyable. It’s not about being exclusive or prescribed. It can also be drunk with ice, water, or mixer by enjoying it – whatever works for you. We want to be all-inclusive, and any whiskey from anywhere in the International. Comprising a mix of rye berries, and especially brewing malts, their Straight Rye Whisky is matured in charred, new American White Oak barrels. Incredibly aromatic, the nose has hints of green apple, coffee, and leather, with a palate of clove, and a touch of honeycomb on the tongue.

History of World Whisky Day

World Whisky Day was founded by Blair Bowman in 2012 while studying at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. White Light Media had owned now, Edinburgh and in 2017 employed two official whiskey ambassadors named Aly Mathers and Joe Kent. They will be championing all things whiskey in the run-up to World Whisky Day on 20 May and also appear in videos, present talks and host tastings by sharing their passion for whiskey across the globe. There is also an ambivalence due to each group using similar hashtags which are not innocent to most people who are which. Thankfully for whiskey fans, the dates fall on separate days in different months, so there is no reason not to enjoy both days.

How to Celebrate the day

Celebrating World Whiskey Day is simple and easy. Celebrate the greatest drink in the world by raising your hands with a glass. Visit your local bar and host the taste. Open that particular bottle. Introduce whisk(e)y to someone who has never had it before. Enjoy it responsibly. Each year whiskey fans donate money to kindnesses of their choice, most commonly of all for Parkinson’s Disease charities as Michael suffered from this for many years. There are loads of events happening all over the world. Some events are ticketed. You can organize and register your own. Take pictures and share them on social media by using #WorldWhiskey Day.
