A great way to commemorate the day is by thinking about the afflicted members of society and do something for those people.

The best way to celebrate the day is cooking a traybake or a big stew and taking it to a soup kitchen. Another way to celebrate the day is by volunteer yourself for a shift in that same kitchen. You can also send the kids out to mow the lawn of an elderly or infirm neighbor, or have a yard sale and donate the profits to a homeless charity.
