One Voice Day is observed on July 26 of every year. Today is a day for people all around the world to join as one to commit to global peace. Today, world peace has become a matter of question, and it is getting no better even with new rules and regulations. World peace is possible only if all nations and every citizen cooperate to prevent warfare. Even though the majority of the population wants peace, with powerful weapons and other technologies, few people have made peace impossible to attain all around the world. One Voice Day is a global initiative to join countries together by reading the Universal Peace Covenant at precisely 1 p.m. CDT on July 26 each year. So at that time all the people around the world unite spiritually and take oath on their commitment towards global peace. This peace covenant is available in many languages and is read by men, by women, by young people and by the elderly, all races, different occupations, several religious beliefs, together read the covenant at the same time to be one voice in the hope of future peace.

History of One Voice Day
One Voice Day was created by the students in the School of Metaphysics from October 1996 to April 1997. Initially, the Covenant was assigned to be read at midnight (local time) on New Year’s Eve, causing an effect of the wave of readings around the world. Later the day and time were fixed to make it as one voice. From then the day was observed at 1 p.m. CDT of every July 26 by reading the convent at the same time. The convent document contains 577-words that describe how to think peacefully and live peaceably in a world that is continuously changing. Everyone declares their commitment to reading the covenant.
