So, it is a perfect day to eat your favorite cake recipe with your family members and friends.

“Cakes are special. Every birthday, every celebration ends with something sweet, a cake, and people remember. It’s all about the memories” – Buddy Valastro.

History of National Cake Day

The origin and history of National Cake Day are not known, but whoever created this holiday must be a fan of this yummy and delicious dessert. Cakes are the favorite dessert of everyone from ancient times, and the 1st cakes are believed to have been made in Ancient Greece and Egypt. The earliest cakes were quite thick, flat, and round as they were molded using hands. These first cakes were mostly like bread, and they were usually sweetened with honey, topped with nuts, and eaten at the end of a meal. In later years, the ancient Romans also made their version of this delicious dessert, which was preferably creamy rich, and these cakes were usually used on religious and cultural occasions. But nowadays, with the help of new baking technologies, cakes are quickly baked and decorated uniquely, and they are used for wedding functions, baby shower parties, anniversary functions, and birthday parties, and they are the symbol of celebration. Hence, National Cake Day is a perfect day to enjoy the taste of your favorite cake with your family members, friends, and even co-workers.
