SHIFT10 Day was founded by Scott’s Marketplace in the year 2016. The celebration of the day encourages the shoppers to shift 10% of their spending to their local markets. The mission of the Day is to keep money in the local hoods. The main aim of this day is to buy the local goods to improve the lives of the local people. It started as an online campaign that aimed at raising awareness for the shop local movement. It even provides opportunities for shopping locally online. The development of the big-box stores had brought down the income of the local people. Every big-box store sells the same materials as every big-box store. It has cut down the connection between the customer and the local community. Celebrating this day with a little shift in your shopping will let your neighbor or friend live a happy life.
