National Parents Day is observed on the fourth Sunday of every July. This year the day falls on July 23. National Parents Day is celebrated to appreciate all parents in the world for the level of dedication, commitment, and sacrifice that made them run a beautiful family. It is a day that combines the ideas of Father’s Day and Mother’s Day together. The parent can be one’s mother, father, grandmothers and grandfathers, great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers, stepmothers and stepfathers, and foster mothers and fathers and what is important is their contribution to society. Honor your parents for making you who you are today. Parents are the children’s first love, first teacher, role model, protector, etc., for everyone. A happy family structure is essential and plays a significant role in the future of the kids, so it is in the hands of parents to grow their children right. By doing so, the parent is helping society to run smoothly and peacefully. Hard work, affection, and unconditional love of parents can never be matched with anything in the world. The best way to mark this day is by taking some time to spend with your parents, chatting and having some fun. It is also crucial for you to express your feelings and gratitude for your parents, especially on National Parents Day.

One of the greatest titles in the world is parent, and one of the biggest blessings in the world is to have parents to call mom and dad.” – Jim DeMint

History of National Parents Day

National Parents Day was established by President Bill Clinton in the year 1994 by signing a Congressional Resolution into Law for recognizing, uplifting, and encouraging the role of parents in the rearing of children. Republican Senator Trent Lott introduced the bill. Parents Day was created to promote the importance of the role played by parents in raising future generations. National Parents Day encourages parents to be more responsible which may indeed need commitment, love, and care. It motivates the idea of the traditional parenting system, which is a two-parent family.  It also celebrates the love bondage between the parents and children. So on this day, every parent must realize their responsibility and duty in growing their kids that are good for the family and the nation.
