There is a mention that the National No Bra Day has its root from Bra Day that is celebrated on October 18th. It can be traced back to Toronto, Canada in 2011. Dr Mitchell Brown, a plastic surgeon, had decided to create BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) Day to educate the victims about mastectomy surgeries and the option of reconstruction. During 2011, this BRA Day has spread from Canada to the other parts of the world. No Bra Day is considered to be the sister holiday spawn from the BRA Day. Every one in eight women is found to be suffering from this deadly disease. Those women who have breast cancer and when found at a later stage lead to surgery and removal of the breast. It is vital for any women to take care of her breast as it is what visually identifies her as a woman. It is a vital organ in her body without which she cannot feed her baby.
