National Boss/Employee Exchange Day is celebrated every year on a Monday after Labor Day. This year it will be celebrated on 13th September. On this day the employees and the bosses swap roles and see how the other half spends their day in the office. On this day you also got an opportunity to see how the other one within your organization works.
“A good boss makes his men realize they have more ability than they think they have so that they consistently do better work than they thought they could” – Charles Erwin Wilson.
History of National Boss/Employee Exchange Day
The origin and history of National Boss/Employee Exchange Day are not known, On this day workers and bosses can see how the other one spends their hours at work by swapping their roles at the office. Switching of roles for a day can be beneficial to both boss and employees. At least for this one day let the bosses answer the phone calls, deal with the paperwork and tackle that problematic customer and let the workers, meanwhile enjoy being a boss at least for a day. But practically when there are many workers and only one boss then switching roles is not possible so take this day as an opportunity to exchange ideas and to see the other side of the business by educating the team members on how many problems and difficulties both boss and employees faces in the company.
