Job Action Day is celebrated on the first Monday of every November. Job Action Day is created to help people in their professional lives to access their careers, make plans, and take action steps. It is a perfect day to put your career and job at the forefront by making necessary plans and taking certain actions.

If a man is called to be a streetsweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great streetsweeper who did his job well.” – Martin Luther King

History of Job Action Day

In 2008, Quintcareers created Job Action Day. It was developed under the sponsorship of LiveCareer, the leading website for job seekers and career changers. It was designed to encourage job seekers to think outside the box and to focus on getting a job that fulfills their ambitions. There is a common belief that people must understand their passions while searching for work: “to find a job which brings them satisfaction and fulfillment, and not to settle for anything less.”

How to Celebrate Job Action Day

If you are a job seeker, take this day as an opportunity to take a break from the daily grind of job hunting and look at the bigger picture. It’s a perfect day to explore new options and develop better ways to track down job leads and position yourself for employment opportunities. If you are an employed person, it is a perfect day to analyze the stability of your current job and the amount of personal fulfillment that you are getting from it. If you find any employment opportunities, share them on social media by using the hashtag #JobActionDay.

Thank you for reading the post. You can celebrate every day with Happydays365.org and Happy Job Action Day 2023.
