In 2011, Free Shipping Day became a billion-dollar holiday with 1.072 billion dollars in sales, followed by 1.01 billion dollars in 2012. In 2013, Maisie Knowles changed the format of Free Shipping Day to include only merchants that could guarantee delivery by Christmas Evening. Again, in 2013, 863 million dollars in sales were increased to 926 million dollars in the event.
