National Paranormal Day is held on May 3rd of every year. The existence of few things in the world cannot be explained or proved. They cannot be seen, heard, or felt in anyways, and even the scientists cannot experiment with it as they are little more than a normal standard like the ghost, chupacabras and more. It is called as paranormal events that lie beyond the normal experience and scientific explanation. There are thousands of people who believed that they are in fact seen, felt or even come into direct contact with those with absolutely no evidence. It’s time to celebrate those outside the norm occurrences and those believers. With the National Paranormal Day, all those who believe in ghosts and other paranormal events are celebrated.
“But I do believe in the paranormal, that there are things our brains just can’t understand.” – Art Bell

The term paranormal has been existence in the English language since at least 1920’s. The word can be split into two parts as the para and normal. The scientific explanation of the world around us is said to be normal, and those beyond, above, or contrary to that is called as para. The most notable forms of the paranormal beliefs pertain to ghosts, unidentified flying objects, extraterrestrial life, cryptids and psychic abilities or extrasensory perception. Charles Fort is perhaps the best-known collector of the paranormal anecdotes. He is found to have compiled as many as 40,000 notes on the unexplained paranormal experiences. Many people also consider him as the father of modern paranormalism, the study of the paranormal.
