National Yo-Yo Day is celebrated on June 6 of every year. National Yo-Yo Day celebrates the historic toy and is the perfect day to get out your yo-yos and try your hand at The Sleeper, Shooting the Moon, Around the World, Walk the Dog or Hop the Fence. A yo-yo is an object with an axle connected to two disks shaped, and a length of string looped around the axle. It is played by holding the end of the chain, which is free and allows gravity and the force of spin that throws the yo-yo and unwinds the string, then also allows the yo-yo to wind itself back. This is called “yo-yo.”
History of National Yo-Yo Day
Yo-Yo was first invented in ancient Greece. Greek vase painting, from 500 BC, a boy playing with a yo-yo. The Yo-Yo was made famous in America when Donald F. Duncan, Sr. manufactured the Duncan Yo-Yo in the early 1900s. The name “Yo-Yo” was first registered as a trademark in 1932. In 1999, the Duncan Yo-Yo was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame at The Strong in Rochester, New York. He recognized the potential of a new fad and purchased the Flores Yo-Yo Corporation, and all assets are which transferred to the new company in 1932. The National Yo-Yo Museum is located in Chico. Yo-Yo is a term often used to describe a person fluctuating between two difficult decisions.

Celebrate the National Yo-Yo Day for Mr. Duncan’s birthday. He was born on June 6, 1892, in Missouri. Apparently, nobody knew of his birth date, thoughts it might be June 8. Also, this can celebrate the event that may involve throwing a Yo-Yo-based party, whereby all those attending must bring a unique yo-yo. Alternatively, you could host a Yo-Yo Olympics, where designated events have special National Yo-Yo Day-based prizes. To post on social media, you can use the hashtag #YoYoDay.
