National Forget Me Not Day is celebrated on November 10 of every year. Forget Me Not Day encourages people to try and reconnect with people they may not be in touch with anymore. Forget Me Not Day is a perfect day for people to stay in touch with family members, friends, and loved ones, especially those who you haven’t seen in a while.

History of National Forget Me Not Day
Judge Robert S. Marx created the National Forget Me Not Day to support the wounded returning soldiers who needed long care after the war was over. At the time of 1921, there were only a few services and organizations that existed to provide the support and care that the veterans (Wounded Soldiers returning from war) required. Hence, Marx created the Forget-Me-Not Day to remind the country of their sacrifices and to raise funds for disabled soldiers through the sale of forget-me-nots. The Forget-Me-Not flower stands as the symbol for National Forget Me Not Day. It grows in open, rocky places and the mountain areas of Alaska. A similar holiday called Forget Me Not Days was celebrated in New Zealand every June 5 and June 6 since 2003. It was started by two bank insurance to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.

How to Celebrate the Day
The best way to celebrate the day is by thanking our disabled ex-soldier. You can also try to communicate with your long-lost friends with the help of social media and send them a note saying that even though you have not been in touch, you still need them and care about them. You can also send forget me not flowers to your loved ones as a simple way to show them how much they mean to you.
