It is a day to enjoy some time under the sun. According to meteorologists, May is the last month of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and it is the time when the temperatures start to rise. National May Ray is the day to come out of the home and spend some time under the Sun’s rays.

If you want to shine like a sun, first burn like a sun.” – A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

History of National May Ray Day

In 1977, the Broadway Fun Sport of St. Joseph, Michigan created the National May Ray Day. Richard Ankli was the first person to come up with the idea of May Ray Day in honor of his brother Ray who was born on May 19. The month of May is the best time of the year to get some sunshine before the temperature gets too hot. However, May is the last month of the Autumn season in the Southern Hemisphere. If you live below the Equator, then observe the National May Ray Day by spending some time under the sun before the temperature falls.
